A personal demonstration of service dogs’ invaluable and unselfish companionship will be provided during the next Madigan Library Forum at Pennsylvania College of Technology. “Not All Disabilities Are Visible: A Professor and His Service Dog” will be presented from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, in the second-floor reading loft of the library.

Pennsylvania College of Technology recently hosted the 63rd annual meeting of the Pennsylvania Sociological Society. The theme for the conference, held Oct. 11-13, was “On Getting by with Change,” focusing on trends in modern society. Five Penn College faculty members participated in conference presentations.

A special display of hooked rugs has been arranged by The Gallery at Penn College during the Tiadaghton Quilt Guild’s biennial quilt show, taking place Oct. 18-20 in the Field House at Pennsylvania College of Technology. The rugs were created by the late Ruth Ann Van Horn, wife of Chalmer C. Van Horn, a professor emeritus of drafting at Penn College.

Homecoming 2013, a celebration that carried the pre-centennial theme of "Operation HC2013: The Mission Continues." brought a memory-making assortment of alumni, activity and all-around fun to Penn College.
