Ryan M. Arnold, of Limerick, who graduated in December 2006 with an associate degree in collision repair technology, shared his industry insight with several classes of Penn College students Monday afternoon.

An associate professor of collision repair at Pennsylvania College of Technology co-authored the textbook, "Collision Repair and Refinishing: A Foundation Course for Technicians," which recently was published by Cengage/Delmar Learning. Alfred M. Thomas II collaborated with Michael Jund, an instructor at Eastern Iowa Community College.

DuPont has extended for five years an agreement to serve as a major corporate sponsor of the collision repair technology program at Pennsylvania College of Technology.

Penn College men's basketball player Greg Solyak was named the Penn State University Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the period of Feb. 3-9. In his team's win over Penn State Brandywine, Solyak scored 23 points and pulled down nine rebounds. In a win over Penn State Scranton, he scored a personal season-high 27 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.

A $5,000 scholarship has been awarded to a collision repair technology major at Pennsylvania College of Technology, one of only six students selected in the third year of the national competition. John S. Ellis III, of Morrisdale, was among those to receive a CCC Michael Salvatore Memorial Student Repair Technician Scholarship, which honors a longtime member of the CCC team.
