Saluting the Penn College military family, Veterans Week featured a range of events, including a brunch, bingo, informational displays and a national honor society induction ceremony. Students, faculty and staff who have served (or continue to serve) their country were also recognized in a voluntary roster. With the ranking of No. 1 school for veteran students in U.S. News & World Report's 2025 Best Colleges’ Regional College (North) classification, Penn College and its veterans have a lot to celebrate.
A federal grant that enhanced services for veteran students at Pennsylvania College of Technology recently ended, but its benefits will endure. A Department of Education program, the three-year, $450,000 Centers of Excellence for Veteran Student Success grant aided the coordination of services geared to veteran students’ academic, financial, physical and social needs.

Pennsylvania College of Technology is the recipient of a $5,523 grant dedicated to a campus and community landmark. Grant dollars were awarded from the Williamsport-Lycoming Flags Across America Designated Fund at the First Community Foundation Partnership of Pennsylvania for the perpetual care of the 1,800-square-foot American flag that graces the college’s main entrance.
For the fifth consecutive year, Pennsylvania College of Technology has received “Guard-Friendly School” designation from an organization devoted to the Pennsylvania National Guard. The Pennsylvania National Guard Associations – an advocacy group dedicated to the growth of the Pennsylvania National Guard and its service members, veterans and families – recently bestowed the honor.
