Pennsylvania College of Technology faculty and students recently lent their knowledge as presenters and assistants at the Retail Confectioners Association of Philadelphia’s fall event. In addition, a Penn College instructor was presented the association’s 2023 “Candy Hook Award,” and the association announced its intent to establish an annual scholarship for the college’s students.

The Community Arts Center received a $5,000 donation from Woodlands Bank as part of the Educational Improvement Tax Credit program. The funding will go to support the Educational Series performances offered to students in the area. Annually since 2007, the Community Arts Center has been able to provide thousands of students access to exceptional arts programming that enhances the classroom curriculum of nine school districts across a multicounty geographic reach in Northcentral Pennsylvania.
An ongoing partnership between Pennsylvania College of Technology and Miller Electric Mfg. LLC helps to ensure that students in the college’s welding and fabrication majors can continue to hone their skills on state-of-the-art equipment used throughout the welding industry.
Day two of College Relations' “Give Thanks, Paw It Forward” campaign spotlights Jay Patel, who knew from a young age in India that his passion for innovation would develop into a satisfying career. “I am forever thankful for the generous scholarships and grants we can apply for and receive as students," said Patel, who is set to graduate Dec. 16 with degrees in automated manufacturing technology and manufacturing engineering technology.
As part of "Give Thanks" week, a team from Alumni Relations delivered small gifts of appreciation to 147 alumni employees across all sites at Penn College. Alumni employees had the choice of $5 added to their Dining Services accounts or a box of goodies from Le Jeune Chef Restaurant.
For the past 16 years, the Community Arts Center has hosted the Skip Hunsinger Holiday Spectacular: an afternoon of holiday cheer, presents and entertainment. Made possible through the efforts of the Hunsinger family and the Community Arts Center Volunteer Corps, the annual local tradition continues Sunday, Dec. 10, as the Arts Center once again opens its doors to the community to celebrate.

The men’s cross-country team at Pennsylvania College of Technology closed out its season with its highest finish ever at an NCAA event over the weekend, while the men’s and women’s basketball and wrestling teams posted victories, and several soccer players received postseason honors.
