“Be insanely curious,” recommends Penn College grad Sean Stabler, vice president of operations and innovation at SEKISUI KYDEX, a global thermoplastics leader that aims to empower the next generation of innovators and problem solvers.
Stabler grew up working on his grandparents’ farm – and breaking a lot of equipment. Thankfully, his grandfather was patient with pencils, engaging his young grandson in drafting design and in the farm’s small machine shop where they fixed what was broken. And even before that, there was the time that 4-year-old Sean took a new bottle of ketchup out of the family pantry to make his first squirt gun. A born problem-solver and future engineer!
Enjoy these and other stories in “Problem Solving in Polymer Engineering,” the latest episode in Penn College’s Tomorrow Makers podcast series.
Stabler shares how Penn College influenced his career pathway, the importance of “servant leadership,” and the future-forward sustainability efforts his company and industry are engaged in. Of course, he also proudly touts the exceptional career opportunities that await all curious trailblazers in polymer engineering.
