Wednesday, November 13, 2024

In "Neurodiversity & Inclusion," Kerry Magro shares his transformative journey from a non-speaking individual with autism to an award-winning professional speaker and best-selling author. He invites listeners of Penn College's Tomorrow Makers podcast to consider the power of inclusion and to lead with compassion.

Magro was on campus recently to deliver the keynote address for the 2024 Transition Conference, hosted by BLaST Intermediate Unit 17 and Penn College's Office of Disability & Access Services.

His books on autism awareness have become top titles for the disability community, parents, teachers, advocates and supporters. In "Neurodiversity & Inclusion," Magro discusses his career as a professional speaker and his work as a consultant on films including “Joyful Noise” with Dolly Parton and Queen Latifah, and the Emmy-award winning series “Love on the Spectrum." And an extra gift? Watch for his soon-to-be-released children's book, "Santa Goes the Extra Mile for Children with Disabilities."
