Penn College's welding lab hosts a recent Recruitment Day, offering networking opportunities for students in automated manufacturing and welding & metal fabrication.

A total of 424 students attended 10 Recruitment Days held during Fall 2024. Hosted by Penn College's Career Services, the networking events featured 102 unique employers, with 52 alumni returning to campus to represent their companies.

"These events bring an array of opportunities with internship, part-time and full-time positions available to our students and alumni," said Stacey L. Girven, career and alumni events manager. "It is important for students to attend these events to start networking and establishing relationships with the industries represented. Some of our students have already secured their Summer 2025 internship opportunities."

Recruitment Days are smaller recruitment events, targeting specific majors or clusters. Up to 25 employers can be hosted at each offering, bringing an abundance of opportunities to students and alumni.

"As always, we are grateful to the faculty and staff who support us in the success of these events, and we are thankful to the employers for attending the Recruitment Days during the Fall 2024 semester," Girven added.

While the Fall 2024 Recruitment Days are completed, Career Services' Pop-Up Employer Information Table events continue.

Looking forward to Spring 2025, Girven says 13 Recruitment Days are planned, and the large, two-day Career Fair will be held March 4 and 5.

All events can be viewed on the Career Services site.
