In honor of Native American Heritage Month, Penn College is hosting a performance by the Piscataway Nation Dancers & Singers, planned for 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13.
The event will be held on the Thompson Professional Development Center lawn. (If the weather requires, the gathering will be held in the PDC's Mountain Laurel Room.)
The performance is open to the public, and Penn College students, staff and faculty are also encouraged to attend. (The event will count as one hour of professional development for employees.)
From Tayac Territory (Port Tobacco, Maryland), the Piscataway Nation Dancers & Singers present a vibrant and educational event featuring Native American dance, drum and song. The group has performed at Penn College a number of times, including last November.
Their appearance is being organized by the Office of Student Engagement.
