A 5K Glow Walk/Run is set for 7 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 13, on Pennsylvania College of Technology’s campus. Organized by Alpha Chi National Honor Society, the event will start and end at the college’s Field House. On-site and virtual participants are welcome.
Registrations are accepted at this website through Nov. 12. The fee is $10 and will support academic excellence by offsetting new inductee fees for the honor society’s national chapter. (There will be an additional registration opportunity beginning at 6 p.m. on race day.)
This is the second annual Wildcat Campus 5K organized by the Penn College chapter of Alpha Chi. Trevor R. Mauk, an Alpha Chi member and senior in welding & fabrication engineering technology, has designed and created new medals this year. Additionally, a new route has been mapped out, taking walkers and runners on two loops around the beautiful Penn College campus.
Glow sticks will be provided at the event, and participants are invited to “wear their brightest colors to light up the night.” Limited T-shirts may be available for late registrants on race day.
Alpha Chi is open to baccalaureate enrollees from all academic majors and limited to the top 10 percent of an institution’s junior and senior classes.
