That Wildcat blue hue signals the start of the weekend that welcomes alumni, families, friends and fans to campus.

In a time-honored tradition ushering in Wildcat Weekend, the Veterans’ Fountain on Pennsylvania College of Technology’s main campus mall has been dyed an appealing shade of “Wildcat blue” by representatives of the Student Government Association.

SGA President Hayden D. Lester was assisted in the endeavor by Ralph R. Courtright III, the association’s vice president of internal relations.

The “tinting tradition” dates back to the years when the extra-special autumn weekend was named Homecoming and Parent & Family Weekend. Whatever it’s called, it’s a wonderful way for Wildcats and their fans to gather and celebrate the campus where hands-on learning also crafts lifelong memories and connections.

Courtright (left) and Lester get to work, tinting the fountain water a lovely shade of Wildcat blue.
The SGA representatives are also campus leaders, serving in student engagement assistant and peer mentor roles. Both juniors, Courtright is enrolled in construction management; Lester is in business administration.
Across campus, our littlest Wildcats also roll into the weekend! Youngsters and staff from the Dunham Children's Learning Center enjoy a Friday frolic, with The Madigan Library presenting a stunning backdrop. (Photo by Cindy D. Meixel, writer/Penn College News editor)
