The Pennsylvania Interscholastic Cycling League has announced its newest state event venue at Pennsylvania College of Technology's Schneebeli Earth Science Center. Featuring 400-plus acres of scenic surroundings, the site will host PICL's Sept. 7-8 competition that brings together student-athletes from across the state to compete in a dynamic showcase of endurance, skill and sportsmanship.

Known for hosting prestigious events like the international Baja SAE competition, Penn College is no stranger to the thrill of wheeled racing. This time, the spotlight shifts to muscle-powered wheels as PICL’s finest cyclists take to the dirt trails in a competition that embodies the spirit of adventure and outdoor recreation.

Event Details:
•    Date: Sept. 7-8
•    Time: Both days will start at 9:30 a.m. Middle school student-athletes will be racing on Saturday, with high school student-athletes racing on Sunday.
•    Location: Penn College's Schneebeli Earth Science Center, across from White Deer Golf Course off of Rt. 15. (The center's address is 302 Allenwood Camp Lane, Montgomery.)

"We are excited to partner with Penn College to bring PICL’s state event to a venue that has already proven itself as a premier destination for racing events," said PICL Executive Director Mike Kuhn. "Our student-athletes are eager to showcase their hard work and dedication in an environment that celebrates innovation and outdoor sports."

PICL aims to "build character, encourage leadership and change lives through mountain biking," while having "massive amounts of fun rolling down amazing trails all over Pennsylvania."

In addition to the mountain bike races, attendees are invited to visit Penn College’s booth at the event. The college will be offering free T-shirts and stickers to riders, providing an opportunity for participants to learn more about the educational opportunities at Penn College while enjoying the competitive atmosphere.

The event is open to the public, and PICL encourages families, friends and cycling enthusiasts to come out and support the talented young athletes. Seasoned fans and those new to the sport will enjoy the energy and excitement of PICL racing at Penn College.
