WNEP’s Mackenzie Aucker stopped by the college’s Le Jeune Chef Restaurant on Monday to talk with a few of those who are helping to prepare hundreds of pounds of food for the teams participating in this year’s Little League World Series.
With games set to begin Wednesday, all the teams have arrived at the Little League complex in South Williamsport. That means Le Jeune Chef’s staff is preparing about 1,200 meals a day, cooking both in Le Jeune – where students in baking and culinary majors ply their craft – and in the team dining hall at the World Series complex. When classes begin Monday, more students and faculty will support the effort, which continues through the final day of play on Aug. 25.
Watch for Aucker’s report during the local ABC affiliate's 5 p.m. newscast on Tuesday.
