An alumni-owned and operated business recently held an open house at its Montoursville facility, and Penn College leaders were among those attending the event, organized by the Williamsport/Lycoming Chamber of Commerce.
A custom trailer manufacturer, Transport Custom Designs showcased its facilities and innovative designs, with company president Joseph H. Reynolds touring the Penn College visitors. Reynolds graduated from the college (then Williamsport Area Community College) in 1976 with a degree in diesel mechanics and is a Penn College Foundation Board member. His two sons, also alumni, use their skills at the family business, too: Jeremy Reynolds earned his degree in business administration: management concentration in 2008, and Joshua J. Reynolds graduated from welding technology in 2009 and technology management in 2011.
Taking photos for Penn College News was another Penn College graduate – Nina Hadden, design engineer at Transport Custom Designs, a 2019 industrial design graduate. She serves on the college's Industrial Design Program Advisory Committee.
