Two new exhibits of student work from instructor Joanna Yoder's Digital Photography course are available for yearend viewing in The Madigan Library on campus and at the Community Arts Center in downtown Williamsport.
“I had the pleasure of working with a very energetic and creative group of students in PHO 150 this semester," Yoder said. "It was wonderful to witness the camaraderie and teamwork in this unique group of students who often challenged and encouraged each other to push themselves to take creative risks."
The course introduces students to the art, technique and applications of digital photography, with balanced consideration of such emphases as technology, design concepts and aesthetics.
"They often worked on creating photographs together as a team," Yoder added, "whether hiking together to waterfalls to capture the movement of the water or working together in the studio with creative lighting techniques and props to evoke a certain mood in their photographs.”
