Readers of Penn College News met her son earlier this week, but that was only half of the story. Because behind so many successful Wildcats are their supportive parents, and Stephanie Hajicek is no exception.
Sending her son, Colten, to college across the country from their family's home in Washington state wasn't easy, but she had peace of mind knowing Penn College was the perfect fit.
College Relations' weeklong "Give Thanks, Paw It Forward" campaign ends with a proud mom who isn't stingy with her elegant and effusive praise.
"From the outside, Penn College is like many other colleges. But what draws you in is what the inside of the classrooms are like," she says in her "Meet the Makers" profile.
"They are not a lecture hall. The classrooms are a hospital, or a car wreck scene, or a natural disaster, or an auto-body shop, or a restaurant, or a welding factory. They are real-world scenarios that the students must create, problem-solve and participate in."
