As part of the celebration of Campus Children's Centers Week (Oct. 2-6), youngsters from the Dunham Children’s Learning Center Birds classroom flew off to visit the two of their biggest supporters at Penn College: People & Culture and the President’s Office.
"The Birds created a 'thank you' card with an owl reflected on it to represent how much we appreciate all the kindness and support we receive throughout the year from our college," said Linda A. Reichert, CLC director.
According to the National Coalition for Campus Children's Centers, the annual celebration recognizes "the extraordinary things we do each and every day as we work to:
- Emphasize the services and support we provide to student, faculty, staff and community families.
- Build an understanding for the importance of high-quality early childhood programs supporting children’s overall health and development.
- Engage centers to become more visible while showcasing the impact we have on the campus community.
- Highlight the importance of campus centers for recruiting and retaining students, faculty and staff."
