A Halloween Horror Spectacular is coming to the Community Arts Center on Oct. 30, a one-night-only event that marks the return of movies to the downtown theater's big screen.
A screening of James Whale’s 1935 classic, "The Bride of Frankenstein," will feature an appearance and presentation by Sara Karloff, daughter of "The Monster" himself: the late, great Boris Karloff.
Loyalsock Township resident Tom Woodruff Jr., an Academy Award winner for his work on 1992's "Death Becomes Her," will also be on hand to talk about our cultural fascination with the unknown and give insight into special effects and creature design.
Tickets, priced at $12 and $15, are available through the CAC website.
A $150,000 Keystone Communities Program grant, administered by the state Department of Community & Economic Development and supported by state Sen. Gene Yaw, allowed for the CAC to update its aging projection equipment.
