As renovations continue at Penn College's Physician Assistant Center, students in instructor Franklin H. Reber Jr.'s Concrete Construction class spent much of their Friday making complementary exterior improvements.
"With the new construction being completed inside the building, we thought it was a good opportunity to fix up the outside," said Chad L. Karstetter, General Services horticulturist/grounds and motorpool manager. "The sidewalk leading to the main doors had many cracks and had a low spot right in front of the doors. This was a definite problem in the wintertime. So we reached out to Frank and his BCT238 students and they were willing to fulfill the duty."
The building's fresh look mirrors the academic excitement in the program, where a stand-alone Master of Science degree in physician assistant studies begins this fall.
