The vibrant sound of PCT Elvis and the Band captured the 2023 title – and the $100 top prize – at this month's Penn College Star competition in Penn's Inn.
Comprising the winning act (from left in performance photo) are Reid Orphan, Alto Sax; James Fretz, Tenor Sax 1; Dylan Ceschini, Rhythm Guitar/Lead Vocal; Zachary Geffre, Drum Kit/Arranger; Nathaniel Saldutti, Lead Guitar; Max Hill, Bass Guitar; Kaitlyn Kratzer, Trumpet 3; Kadin Virkaitis, Trumpet 2; Thomas Panyik, Trumpet 1; and Emma Kotz, Trombone.
Ensemble member Morgan Clouser, Tenor Sax 2, was unable to attend; the group also relies upon Caylin DiMisa as its primary photographer/videographer.
Second place among the evening's formidable talent went to Cameron Musser and Ralph Courtright III, and Taylin Ravenscroft placed third.
Students Sophia Wiest, who chairs the Wildcat Events Board, and WEB member Nathan Ferrebee were judges for the show, which has been a campus tradition since 2013.
