A Pennsylvania College of Technology alumna will serve Axemann Brewery's Hazy Daisy IPA at this Friday's "Tunes on Tap" in the Community Arts Center's Capitol Lounge from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Doors open at 5.
Rachel Jean Gobin, a May 2022 graduate of brewing & fermentation science – who also earned degrees in baking & pastry arts and applied management – is assistant brewer at Axemann Brewery, Bellefonte. She is originally from Carlisle.
Trip the Light, an energetic, eight-piece party band based in Williamsport, will perform music for guests.
"Tunes on Tap," which is free and open to the public, offers visitors the opportunity to taste some of the finest local brews while listening to some of the area's best bands. The Capitol Lounge offers an excellent listening room and dance floor.
Next on tap for the festive Friday offering is Bullfrog Brewery (conveniently across the street from the CAC) and Old Kentucky Shark, an experimental Americana band also based in Williamsport, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14. "Tunes on Tap" is sponsored by Evergreen Wealth Solutions.
