"The Rock" displays a message that echoed across the college's campuses, for this passing family and for everyone who visited on a splendidly sunny Saturday.After an informative Klump Academic Center presentation by admissions counselor Lisa L. Golfieri, faculty escorted guests from the auditorium to their specific areas of interest. Leading a group from the ACC is Jeffrey M. Januchowski, assistant professor of automotive.Faculty member Howard W. Troup talks about students' role in designing and machining the components for the college's history-making Baja SAE vehicle. Troup, an assistant professor of automated manufacturing/machine tool technology, was joined by Daniel Ravizza (left), CNC machining and automation.Tara C. Koser, instructor of specialty nursing programs, provides an engaging peek at an ultra-realistic lab – the closest thing to a hospital room, this side of being admitted.Saturday's first Open House of the fall semester brought more than 160 prospective Wildcats to Penn College, where knowledgeable and friendly students, employees and alumni eagerly helped potential tomorrow makers and their families make the most of their visit. It was a day of pure opportunity, from an admissions presentation and academic tours to a free-range exploration of facilities and resources that comprise a peerless environment for hands-on learning.
