An adjunct member of Pennsylvania College of Technology's industrial design faculty – a Williamsport Area High School teacher and coordinator of the school district's K-12 art department – has been selected as a 2022 Outstanding Secondary Art Educator by the Pennsylvania Art Education Association.
Andrea M. McDonough, who has taught the Introduction to Industrial Design class (BIX110) at Penn College for several years, will be formally recognized during an awards ceremony at the PAEA 2022 Conference in Lancaster on Oct. 30.
"This is an impressive accolade for Dr. McDonough," said Thomas E. Ask, professor of industrial design, "and underscores the depth of talent we can bring into the industrial design program."
McDonough and Ask were featured in “Working Class: Dream and Do,” the award-winning premiere episode of a public television series co-produced by Penn College and WVIA Public Media.
