The Student Engagement Office was represented at the recent dedication of a local Habitat for Humanity home that community-minded student and employee volunteers helped build for Stephanie Matthews and her children last spring. As part of a "(community) Service Saturday" program in mid-March, the college contingent contributed to construction of the home at 702 Diamond St. in Williamsport's West End. "It was wonderful to see the finished home!" said Shannon L. Skaluba, student organization specialist, who provided photos after attending the ceremony with Allison A. Grove, director of student engagement. "The Matthews family is so grateful to all who volunteered and is excited to move into their new house. We look forward to partnering with Habitat for Humanity again in the future." More from the dedication is available from the Williamsport Sun-Gazette and NorthcentralPA.com.
