The Gabe Stillman Band, fronted by "one of the most promising young blues talents on the scene today," will perform at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, at the Community Arts Center. A Williamsport native and alumnus of the Uptown Music Collective – who also spent a few formative years at Penn College's Dunham Children's Learning Center – Stillman formed the band in 2015, shortly after graduating from Boston’s Berklee College of Music. Since landing in the final eight at the 35th Annual International Blues Challenge in Memphis, and further honored as the recipient of the esteemed Gibson Guitar Award, he and his band have focused on expanding their footprint on a national and international level. A new release is planned in mid-2021, joining two others: "The Grind" and “Flying’ High” (backed by the legendary Nighthawks). Tickets, priced at $25, are available through the CAC website. Per Gov Tom Wolf's directives, Centers for Disease Control guidelines and college policies, all patrons will be required to wear masks (no exceptions) and seating will be socially distanced with mandatory temperature checks upon entry.
