Noelle B. Bloom, assistant Dining Services director, shared this image of icicles hanging horizontally on the mall side of the Hager Lifelong Education Center. While it's tempting to shrug it all off with, "What do y'all expect after the year we've been through?" that's not the kind of journalism you expect from PCToday. So we picked the brains of campus sources versed in physics and meteorology, who made sense of it all. Their consensus? The icicles formed vertically, but, as the snow and ice melted from the metal roof, they oozed and slid and curved under the eaves to provide passersby with a most curious freeze frame.
