With the final Connections new student orientation of the 2020-21 academic year completed this past weekend, Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Connections Links can rest easy from their busy – and highly unique – orientation duties.
“Like many events on campus and around the world, orientation leaders and the way orientation is being held was drastically changed in light of COVID-19,” said Trisha M. Temple, coordinator of student engagement. “But even a pandemic couldn’t keep our Connections Links from finding ways to virtually connect with incoming students. From Facebook chats, to Instagram Q&As, to online trivia games, these student leaders found ways to make ‘connections’ and welcome our new Wildcats to the Penn College family.”Welcoming incoming students to their new journey at Penn College for the Spring 2021 semester were: Caila N. Flanagan, of Williamsport, business administration: management concentration; Hallie S. Harriman, Mifflinburg, information technology sciences-gaming and simulation; Michael E. Highland II, Slatington, electronics and computer engineering technology; and Sophia G. Wiest, Butler, entrepreneurial innovation. The fab four began their work in July, welcoming Fall 2020 students. Also helping out during Fall 2020 orientation activities was graphic design student Alexandria Hrusovsky, from New Brunswick, New Jersey.
