Facing the same "avalanche of closings and cancellations" spawned by Gov. Tom Wolf's directive on public events, the Community Arts Center has announced several changes to its schedule.
The Williamsport Symphony Orchestra concert scheduled for Saturday, March 14, has been rescheduled for June 6. Tower of Power on March 18 has been postponed to Oct. 4. The Dallas String Quartet on March 19 has tentatively been rescheduled for Oct. 2, and Béla Fleck has canceled his spring tour, with makeup dates yet to be determined. The Williamsport Community Concert Association has postponed the performance on March 26. The Williamsport City Jazz Orchestra’s performance on April 3 has been cancelled.
"At this point, we will be holding all tickets in anticipation of moving them to future dates," marketing manager Courtney Fowler said. "If performances are ultimately canceled, or you cannot attend a performance on the new date, we will, of course, refund your money."
The Arts Center is a wholly owned subsidiary of Pennsylvania College of Technology.
