An assistant professor of engineering design technology attended 3DExperience World 2020, a Feb. 9-12 event dedicated to the three-dimensional design and engineering community.
Penn College's Katherine A. Walker was among those on hand at Music City Center in Nashville, Tennessee, to explore the latest innovations in 3D design, data management, simulation and manufacturing.
“It is important to stay current on trends and emerging technologies within our discipline of engineering design to help guide curriculum development," Walker said. "Events such as 3DExperience World are an excellent resource for our faculty to gain insight on design software, related hardware and industry applications."
While at the conference, Walker met up with alumnus Christopher J. Allebach, a mechanical designer with Dorman Products Inc. Allebach, who holds degrees in computer aided drafting technology (2011) and computer aided product design (2013), is a member of the college's Engineering Design Technology Advisory Committee.
