"I'm so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers," says literature's Anne Shirley of the Green Gables farm, reveling in the sunny colors on Prince Edward Island. "It would be terrible if we just skipped from September to November, wouldn’t it?" As the calendar crisply turns toward sweater weather, hayrides and the downpour of leaves, no one seems happier than "The Rock," painted for Halloween and nestled amid a campus canopy of foliage. (Unless you count students cozying up to the Bush Campus Center fire pit, of course.)
