A debate between the two candidates in Williamsport's mayoral race, sponsored by Penn College's Student Government Association, is scheduled from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, in the Klump Academic Center Auditorium. Republican Eric Beiter, store manager for Beiter's Home Center, and Democrat Derek Slaughter, a mathematics teacher at Williamsport Area High School and member of Williamsport City Council, will discuss issues and answer audience questions. The debate will be moderated by Craig A.
