David R. Empet has been appointed director of financial aid at Pennsylvania College of Technology, effective July 8.
Empet, who has nearly 15 years of experience in higher education administration, comes to Penn College from SUNY Corning Community College, where he served as director of recruitment and admissions since May 2018.
Previously, he was assistant director of admissions at Mansfield University from 2006-15. Empet is also owner/operator of D.R.E. Stone LLC, Galeton.
Empet holds a Master of Business Administration, with a concentration in entrepreneurship, from California University of Pennsylvania. He also earned a Master of Science in Education, with a specialization in computers and technologies, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a concentration in marketing, both from Mansfield University.
“We are excited to welcome Dave to the Penn College community,” said Carolyn R. Strickland, vice president for enrollment management and associate provost. “Dave brings a strong foundation in enrollment management and a demonstrated commitment to student success. We look forward to his leadership in the area of financial aid, and his contributions to the enrollment management team.”
