Students benefiting from Barron’s in Education program gift

Courtesy of a gift from a locally based financial advisory firm, students enrolled in business majors at Pennsylvania College of Technology have access to Barron’s Digital subscriptions, as well as a variety of resources provided through an experiential learning initiative offered by the Barron’s in Education Program from Dow Jones.

Hudock Capital Group is providing a two-year gift to Penn College to be licensed for the program. Also benefiting from the program are business faculty at the college.



Among the benefits derived are customized workshops, an invitation for up to 25 students to visit Barron’s Dow Jones Headquarters in Manhattan and tour the newsrooms for Barron’s/Wall Street Journal and MarketWatch, and the opportunity to have students recognized as Dow Jones/Barron’s Student Ambassadors.

Ambassadors will be trained as on-campus experts and have direct communication with the head of financial education at Dow Jones and team members.

Also featured in the program are guest speakers and webinars from Dow Jones, Barron’s “Weekly Review” summary for business faculty, and connection of Penn College Career Services with Dow Jones corporate recruitment teams for internship and job opportunities.
