Beginning a three-week stretch drive of six consecutive North Eastern Athletic Conference games to close out their regular seasons, Pennsylvania College of Technology men’s and women’s basketball teams each went 0-2 last week. Meanwhile, the college’s wrestling team lost its lone dual match.
Men's basketball
On Wednesday at Lancaster Bible College, Penn College lost, 79-68. Elijah Vazquez, of Woonsocket, Rhode Island, topped the Wildcats with 28 points; Spencer Bartron, of Camden, Delaware, scored 15 points; and Carson Garvis, of Taneytown, Maryland, tallied 13 points and hauled in 10 rebounds. Lancaster Bible outscored Penn College in the paint, 38-22, and in points off turnovers, 31-17. The Wildcats connected on 14 of 17 free throws during the game.
Hosting SUNY Cobleskill on Saturday during Alumni Day, Penn College fell, 87-79, to drop to 2-19 overall and 1-11 in the conference. Vazquez again led Penn College in scoring with 21 points with Bartron and Garvis each adding 18 and Trey McCullough, of Stuart, Florida, 12. The Wildcats led 15-4 early but Cobleskill scored 15 straight points to end the first half and take a commanding 44-29 lead.

At Lancaster Bible College on Wednesday, Penn College lost, 55-49. Maci Ilgen, of Penns Valley, led the Wildcats with 11 points and Ja’Quela Dyer, of Dover, Delaware, pulled down 13 rebounds. Trailing 45-32 after three quarters, Penn College pulled to within two points at 51-49 with 1:04 left before being blanked the rest of the way.
Facing SUNY Cobleskill at home on Saturday, the Wildcats fell, 55-43, to drop to 1-20 overall and 0-12 in the NEAC. Dyer topped Penn College with 13 points and Tori Wolfe, of Dalmatia, hauled in 11 rebounds.
