Last week, Pennsylvania College of Technology men’s and women’s basketball teams resumed North Eastern Athletic Conference play, which will dominate the remainder of their schedules, and the men’s squad earned its first conference win of the season.

Hosting South Division leading Lancaster Bible College on Wednesday, the Wildcats played on near-even terms with their opponent in the second half, but it wasn’t enough to make up the first-half deficit in a 68-52 loss. Spencer Bartron, of Camden, Delaware, led Penn College with 12 points and Ben Sosa, of Loyalsock Township, scored 11 points.
At home with North Division opponent Wells College on Saturday, Penn College raced to a 40-29 halftime lead and posted an 81-70 win that snapped a two-season, nine-game NEAC loss streak. Ryan Lockman, of White Salmon, Washington, led the Wildcats with 21 points and Elijah Vazquez, of Woonsocket, Rhode Island, came off the bench to add 20 points. Penn College outscored Wells in points in the paint, 32-20, and points off turnovers, 30-14.
On Sunday in the third of a four-game homestand, the Wildcats lost, 78-56, to go to 2-13 overall and 1-5 in the conference. Vazquez continued his hot scoring hand for the second game in a row with a 22-point performance and Bartron tallied 12 points. Penn College was outscored in the paint, 46-28.

For the Wildcats, Daniel Bergeron, of Jackson, New Jersey at 165 pounds; Colin Browne, of Wilkes-Barre, at 171; Dylan Gettys, of Etters, at 184, and Dylan Otis, of Wyalusing, at 285, each finished the day with three wins and one loss.
