Community Service That Speaks Volumes

Thursday, September 20, 2018

Furthering an impressive track record of civic involvement on Wednesday, Penn College student-athletes assisted with moving books from James V. Brown Library to Pine Street United Methodist Church for this weekend's Friends of the Library book sale. The fall tradition is scheduled from 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at the 444 Pine St. church. Wildcats finished second last season in the Senior Woman Administrator’s Cup, which recognizes community service hours completed by institutions in the North Eastern Athletic Conference. Penn College topped the NEAC in 2017-18 with 2,502 total hours, placed second in the number of participants and votes, and was fourth in total funds raised.
