Fall Sports Teams Get Set for Openers

Workouts continue for Pennsylvania College of Technology fall sports athletes and season openers are just around the corner.



Scheduled to open in non-North Eastern Athletic Conference action on Friday, Aug. 31:

  • Men’s soccer at Hood College, 7 p.m.

  • Women’s soccer at King’s College, 7 p.m.

  • Men’s and women’s cross-country at Misericordia University Invitational, 6 p.m.


Scheduled to open in non-NEAC action on Saturday, Sept. 1:

  • Women’s volleyball at Lycoming College vs. Lycoming at 10 a.m., vs. Clarks Summit University at noon and vs. Wilkes University at 2:30 p.m.


Scheduled to open in non-NEAC action on Saturday, Sept. 8:

  • Men’s tennis at Susquehanna University, noon.


Scheduled to open in non-NEAC action on Monday, Sept. 10:

  • Women’s tennis at Misericordia University, 3 p.m.


Scheduled to open in non-NEAC action on Wednesday, Sept. 12:

  • Men’s golf at Keuka College Invitational, 10 a.m.


Postseason Playoffs
NEAC men’s and women’s cross-country championships are scheduled for Oct. 27, hosted by Lancaster Bible College. SUNY-Poly is the five-time defending men’s champion and Penn State Berks is the defending women’s champ. The NCAA Division III Mideast Regional Championship is slated Nov. 10 in Center Valley and the NCAA DIII Championship is scheduled Nov. 17 at Lake Breeze Golf Club in Winneconne, Wisconsin.

NEAC women’s volleyball and men’s and women’s soccer playoff first-round matches are scheduled for Oct. 30 with the Final Four playoffs Nov. 3 and 4. Morrisville State College is the defending women’s volleyball champ, Penn State Abington is the defending men’s soccer champion and Penn State Berks is the five-time defending women’s champ. The NCAA Division III women’s volleyball playoffs will be staged Nov. 15-17 at A.J. Palumbo Center in Pittsburgh and the NCAA Division III men’s and women’s soccer playoffs will be held Nov. 30-Dec. 1 at the University of North Carolina-Greensboro in Greensboro, North Carolina.
