Wednesday, January 3, 2018
Carol A. Lugg has been appointed dean of the School of Construction & Design Technologies at Pennsylvania College of Technology.
Lugg has been assistant dean of construction and design technologies since February 2015, playing an instrumental role in securing a $1 million National Science Foundation S-STEM grant that provides scholarship and research opportunities for the school.
Prior to moving into the assistant dean role, Lugg worked in variety of positions at Penn College. She succeeds Marc E. Bridgens, who is returning to a faculty position at the college.
In 2016, Lugg completed doctoral studies at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, researching postsecondary transfer pathways.
“Carol has a wealth of experience in higher education and will bring vision and creativity to this important leadership role,” said Paul L. Starkey, vice president for academic affairs and provost. “I have faith in her abilities and look forward to working with her as she guides the School of Construction & Design Technologies.”
The college is conducting a search to fill the assistant dean position.
