John Vandevere, director of athletics, said of the gift: “The Stricklands have been true champions of support for Wildcat Athletics throughout our journey to full NCAA Division III membership – not only through their gifts, but also through their belief in the value that athletics can add to the overall educational experience.”

“The Stricklands are incredibly passionate about Penn College, which makes their gift supporting the symbol of school spirit on campus the perfect fit,” said Loni N. Kline, vice president for institutional advancement. “We are grateful for their dedication and support of the college and Wildcat Athletics.”

“We are proud to be a part of the Penn College community and have supported the Wildcats for over 20 years,” the Stricklands said. “We are honored to give back to the campus and our athletic program at such an exciting time, with our new NCAA membership, ongoing success with the North Eastern Athletic Conference and the recently unveiled Wildcat Athletics logo. Our family bleeds blue and gray, and we are incredibly ‘Penn College Proud!’”

Previously, the couple established the Strickland Family Scholarship for Outstanding Leadership and Service at Penn College.
