RAs report for duty as Welcome Weekend nearsForty-five Resident Assistants and other members of the Residence Life staff are ready for action! The energetic entourage has been engaged in an intensive two-week training session, learning from campus and community experts, and are eager to greet new students and their families upon their Welcome Weekend arrival. “They are looking forward to students moving in,” said Amie K. Fox, assistant director of residence life/residence education, “and can’t wait to share all of the activities they’re planning (and they really hope there are some chocolate and s’more lovers among our new students)!” First-year students, transfers and adult learners, along with their guests, are invited to join the Welcome Weekend festivities. A number of campus offices – including the Registrar and Bursar/Student Accounts – and The College Store will be open to help take care of last-minute preparations. In addition to social activities, the weekend will offer brief information sessions to help new students make the most of their Penn College experience.
