Seventeen graphic design seniors at Pennsylvania College of Technology will exhibit their work as part of “Design: 2017,” the annual student portfolio exhibition in The Gallery at Penn College.
A public reception for the exhibit’s opening will be held Friday, April 28, from 4 to 6 p.m., in the gallery, located on the third floor of the Madigan Library. The design work will be on display through May 12.
Participating students are: Ainsley R. Bennett, Montoursville; Alexandre E. Campbell, Dillsburg; Julius J. Casari IV, Lehighton; Zachary T. DiAntonio, Easton; Morgan N. Keyser, Dillsburg; Alyssa A. Kiess, Cogan Station; John S. Krause, Lebanon; Nicole A. Kunze, Montoursvile; Courtney Lose, Bellefonte; Christina M. McFadden, Williamsport; Andrea L. Neff, Trout Run; Ashley M. Rorie, Leesburg, Virginia; Haley J. Singer, Bellefonte; Todd R. Surkovich, State College; Nicholas J. Vetock, Shippensburg; Eliza R. Whyman, Williamsport; and Zachary M. Zancofsky, Tamaqua.
The annual exhibition showcases the best graphic design, illustration and web design work of graphic design majors in their final semester of study at Penn College. The exhibition gives students a chance to present their work in marketing, branding, advertising and design to industry professionals and the community.
Penn College graphic design students have consistently earned recognition through their submissions to regional, national and international advertising design competitions.
Whyman, who was recently interviewed about the upcoming exhibit by WVIA-FM on-air host Fiona Powell at the WVYA studios in downtown Williamsport, said, “It’s such a payoff to be able to showcase my designs that resulted from hard work and dedication over four years in the graphic design program. It’s especially gratifying to show my work alongside all the other strong and talented designers in the class of 2017.
“Thanks to the dedication of the professors, the quality of the education, and the resources and experiences available to us through this program, we’ve become strong, capable designers who are ready for the working world. I feel confident in my work and education here at Penn College and am excited to apply my knowledge and experience in the real world.”
