Youngsters at the Dunham Children’s Learning Center celebrated Dr. Seuss’s birthday Thursday by enjoying an appropriate morning snack after hearing one of the author's more famous works. The children showed their appreciation to aide Karen L. Fischer with a cheer, “Hooray for Kitchen Karen and green eggs and ham!” The National Education Association’s Read Across America Day is a celebration of literacy held annually on March 2, Dr. Seuss’s birthday.
