Amid a Lotta Night Music, a 'Star' Is Born

Industrial design major Cullen S. Berfield was selected as this year's “Penn College Star” following Wednesday's fourth annual competitive showcase of campus talent. The Jersey Shore resident, one of nine musicians to perform, was chosen by a panel of judges and text votes from audience members. Kristen E. Bowes, of Wayne, a web and interactive media student, was second, and Heaven A. Stansbury, of South Williamsport, enrolled in general studies, placed third. The event, held in the Klump Academic Center Auditorium, was sponsored by the Off-Campus Housing Organization, assisted by the Student Activities Office, college audiovisual technicians and Students of Musical Development (who sang the national anthem and the alma mater).
