Message of Hope Echoes Loudly as Fans, Teams 'Yell(ow) It Out'

This week's Yell(ow) It Out observance, held during a basketball doubleheader in Bardo Gymnasium, once again put a public face on a too-often-private issue. A collaboration of Community and Commuter Assistants, Resident Assistants, Greek Life and student-athletes, the evening focused on the warning signs of suicide and Penn College's ongoing commitment to education and prevention. "Yell(ow) It Out" started as an initiative by Josiah Stoltzfus, a construction management student, and it’s been amazing to see how hard he has worked to bring it to campus and get the support of other students, faculty and staff," said Mallory L. Weymer, Penn College’s coordinator of student health and wellness/suicide prevention specialist. "It’s so powerful to see so many of our students and campus community come together to stand up for suicide awareness."
