Workforce Development & Continuing Education at Pennsylvania College of Technology is offering a course to help high school students prepare for the standardized test used as an admissions tool by many institutions of higher learning.
The course will help students better prepare for success on the exam through live instruction, self-paced learning and individual interaction with a professional instructor. The focus will be on math, English and reading, with an optional writing session available for those who wish to practice their college-ready skills and review with a Penn College faculty member.
Scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon on seven consecutive Saturdays from Jan. 21 through March 4 – ending in advance of the March 11 testing date – the course will provide 12 hours of math preparation (Jan. 21, Feb. 4 and 18, and March 7) and nine hours devoted to English and reading (Jan. 28 and Feb. 11 and 25). The optional writing segment will be held from noon to 1 p.m. following English and reading.
The cost is $279 for math, English and reading; the three hours of writing instruction carry an additional $49 fee.
