Hard to believe, given its lingering "new-car feel" and still-stunning appearance a decade after opening, but Penn College's Madigan Library celebrated its 10th birthday on Monday. Chef Charles R. Niedermyer II and students in his Advanced Baking and Pastry Operations class prepared a special cake, distributed free to patrons, to help mark the diamond anniversary of the library's addition to the campus landscape.
