Madigan Library Observes 10th Birthday

A cake in honor of The Madigan Library's 10th birthday, complete with the building's distinctive clock-tower motif, awaits the celebration.Tables adorned in signature red and white, with giveaways and other goodies, greet the college community Monday morning.Kicking off the festivities are (from left) Diana L. Jacobo, of Middletown, enrolled in culinary arts and systems.Hard to believe, given its lingering "new-car feel" and still-stunning appearance a decade after opening, but Penn College's Madigan Library celebrated its 10th birthday on Monday. Chef Charles R. Niedermyer II and students in his Advanced Baking and Pastry Operations class prepared a special cake, distributed free to patrons, to help mark the diamond anniversary of the library's addition to the campus landscape.
