Speaker to Offer Money-Management Tips in Comedic Performance

The public is invited to laugh and learn with comedic financial expert Colin Ryan from 5-6 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, in Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Klump Academic Center Auditorium.

Ryan’s appearance is sponsored by the college’s Student Government Association and its chapter of Delta Mu Delta, a national business honor society, as well as the Student Activities Office and the School of Business & Hospitality. Admission is free.



Colin RyanRyan is a financial expert and author who has the background of a professional comedian and storyteller. He travels the country giving students and adults the career and money skills they’ll need to reach their dreams, including understanding credit cards, controlling spending and defeating debt.

To date, he has spoken to more than 200,000 students and adults. His unique, comedic approach to financial education has gained him national attention, and he has been recognized as one of the top 10 money presenters in America. He has collaborated with Girl Scouts of America; NBC, CBS and National Geographic Television; United Way; banks and credit unions; and colleges around the country.

Ryan has competed to be the funniest comedian in New England, and his comedy fundraiser series has donated over $150,000 to good causes. He won The Moth’s storytelling GrandSlam in 2015 and serves as a passionate advocate for economic equality on the Vermont Commission on Women.
