Two students from Penn College Benefiting THON fired the final shots of the "Penny Wars" on Thursday, launching pies at Marc E. Bridgens, dean of construction and design technologies. His school was the top earner in the recent Bush Campus Center collection campaign, in which donations were made in each academic school's name to support kids battling cancer. Organization President Max C. Bower said a total of $364.01 was collected for the fight against pediatric cancer – with the School of Construction & Design Technologies leading the way with a $92.83 share. Keeping his end of the bargain, the dean sportingly took two frothy facefuls during a closing ceremony in the Field House.
