Explore Penn College’s Hands-On Majors at April 2 Open House
Wednesday, March 2, 2016
Pennsylvania College of Technology, a national leader in applied technology education, will showcase its distinctive “degrees that work” during Spring Open House on Saturday, April 2.
From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., prospective students and their families can learn more about Penn College’s 100-plus bachelor’s, associate and certificate programs when they visit and tour the main campus in Williamsport and the Aviation and Earth Science Center campuses nearby. Free shuttle bus transportation is available on campus and to and from the other campuses.
Faculty, deans, current students and alumni – and representatives from Admissions, Financial Aid, Residence Life, Dining Services, Athletics and Student Activities – will answer questions and assist visitors. A variety of information sessions, including one to help students choose a major, will be presented. Dining facilities and The College Store will be open to serve guests.
At Penn College, a special mission affiliate of Penn State, students learn in hands-on fashion from faculty with real-world experience, using industry-standard equipment and cutting-edge technologies. Students spend three hours in labs for every one hour in lectures, and the average class size is 17. Two-year majors easily transition to four-year programs. The college’s graduate placement rate is 96 percent.
Visit the Open House webpage to register and obtain a personalized guide. The site also features a list of campus activities, travel directions, a campus map and lodging available in the area.
Those unable to attend April 2 Open House at Penn College may schedule a campus tour online. Fall Open House is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 30.
