Students on Papal Security Assignment With Local Guard Units
Thursday, September 24, 2015
Penn College students are serving with local National Guard units on active-duty assignment to assist in security measures for Pope Francis' visit to Philadelphia this weekend. About 25 of our students were chosen for the Sept. 21-29 assignment, as well as a number on standby to be called upon if needed. A total of 82 students serve in the Pennsylvania National Guard or in the reserves, the highest in the institution's history.
