Penn College Names New Assistant Dean for Academic School

Justin W. Beishline has been named assistant dean for the School of Transportation & Natural Resources Technologies at Pennsylvania College of Technology.

Beishline, who grew up in Benton and resides in Millville, had been an instructor of diesel equipment technology at the college since the Fall 2008 semester.

“Justin will be an excellent addition to the leadership team in Transportation & Natural Resources Technologies,” said Paul L. Starkey, vice president for academic affairs/provost. “He has been an excellent teacher for a number of years and is noted for his commitment to his students. He brings creativity and a great work ethic to this new role.”



Justin W. BeishlineBeishline worked for nine years in the industry before coming to Penn College, with positions as diesel technician, service writer, warranty manager and service manager. While on faculty, he was among the recipients of Caterpillar’s student-nominated Pathfinder to Excellence Award.

He served in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard from 1997-2003 as an M1A1 Abrams Tank Crewman, and is certified by Automotive Service Excellence as a Master Medium/Heavy Truck Technician.

“Justin is an effective educator with a student-centered approach,” said Brett A. Reasner, dean of transportation and natural resources technologies. “Justin has excelled in previous leadership roles as on-site power generation coordinator and co-department head for diesel.”

Beishline is a Penn College alumnus, graduating in 2000 with an associate degree in diesel equipment technology and in 2002 with a bachelor’s in business technology management. He also earned a Master of Education in instructional technology from Penn State.
